Between us, we’ve organised hundreds of conferences and other events over 20 years — in the UK and right around the world — and there aren’t many behind-the-scenes scenarios we won’t recognise! Meet the team…

Jacinta Scannell

Jacinta Scannell

Founder and Managing Director

Widely acknowledged by her peers, Jacinta has an exceptional breadth of knowledge to draw on to help clients plan, develop and improve their events. She is a founding director of the Institute of Event Management, a past executive member of the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers, and has served on the judging panel of the Meetings and Incentive Travel Industry Awards. She is also a Trustee of the Sage Gateshead, the home of the Northern Sinfonia Orchestra.  When she’s not driving the business forward, Jacinta enjoys a round of golf and hillwalking in her native Ireland.

Vera Hide

Vera Hide

Conference Manager

Vera joined the Conference Collective team as Conference Manager. Since completing her Event Management degree in 2014, she has worked in both the events and hospitality sectors. In her role at the Conference Collective, Vera supports a range of clients including the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO), Posture Mobility Group and King’s Business School. Her work covers all aspects of event management, including client liaison, speaker and abstract management, exhibition logistics and website design.

Did you know? 
Vera’s first language is Russian and her native Ukraine became its own country in 1991, the year she was born.

Isabella Kantor

Isabella Kantor

Conference Manager

Isabella recently joined the team at the Conference Collective as Conference Manager. Isabella has 12 years’ experience of working in events and marketing and has previously worked on some elaborate events with some well known celebrities. At the Conference Collective Isabella will be responsible for the end to end delivery and management of events.

Did you know?
In her spare time Isabella loves finding new scenic view points in the Surrey Hills. The first language she ever spoke was Polish!

Louise Cooke

Louise Cooke

Conference Manager

Louise joined the Conference Collective as Conference Manager. With 17 years’ experience in conferences and events management, Louise brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.
She has mainly worked in the corporate world, predominately within the financial services sector, designing and delivering a wide range of events.
As part of her degree in European Business, Louise spent time living in Germany and speaks fluent German.

Louise enjoys being creative and in her spare time and makes eco friendly necklaces from recycled material.

Judith Bunn

Judith Bunn

Special Projects Manager

Judith came on board as project manager for May Measurement Month, a global initiative led by the International Society of Hypertension to raise awareness of the risks associated with high blood pressure. Before joining us, Judith worked for eight years in various project management roles at the Lawn Tennis Association, with the overarching aim of increasing participation in the sport. Her other areas of professional expertise include clinical software training.

Did you know?
Judith is an accomplished tennis player — while representing her local club, she’s won singles and doubles titles six years in a row.

Alex Graves

Alex Graves

Associations Manager

Alex joined the Conference Collective as Client Secretariat. Alex has spent the last 10 years in Higher Education working closely with students, lecturers and businesses to develop meaningful placements for students. Prior to that she was the Associate Director for a company specialised in organising exchange programmes for American students in London.  Alex also spent time in the Travel Industry working closely with overseas hotel managers to improve customer quality and service. She has a MRes in Tourism, a BSc in Business and Tourism and is also trained as a chef!

Did you know?
Alex loves visiting different countries learning about their food, culture and history. She has lived in Iran, India and Saudi Arabia before she moved to the UK at the age of 6. Alex loves cycling and running and has completed a number of rides of over 100 miles as well as two marathons!

 

Elliott Ross

Elliott Ross

Conference Administrator

Elliott is the Conference Collective’s problem solver — a true lateral thinker who never gets fazed, even when under pressure or up against a tight deadline.

He joined the team in 2016 and as well as handling all our registrations plays a key role in helping deliver our events.

Away from work, Elliott’s passions are playing the guitar and cricket — though not necessarily at the same time.

Elisabeth Codeluppi

Elisabeth Codeluppi

Conference and Membership Administrator

Elisabeth joined the team as Conference and Membership Administrator. She has a degree in European Languages and Cultures from the University of Modena and has a background in Hospitality and Motorsport Events. She grew up between Parma, in the North of Italy and the United Kingdom.

In her new role at the Conference Collective, Elisabeth is supporting the conference team with upcoming events and has already been busy meeting with new clients and venues.

Did you know?
Elisabeth lived on the tiny island of Nosy Be, Madagascar, in the Mozambique Channel, where she enjoyed living surrounded by nature and could practise her favourite sport, scuba diving.

Gemma McLauchlan

Gemma McLauchlan

Project and Membership Administrator

Gemma recently joined the Conference Collective as our Project and Membership Administrator. In this role, Gemma is responsible for supporting the society memberships of the Society for Reproduction and Fertility, Artery Society and the European Council for Cardiac Research, along with May Measurement Month Initiative. In recent years Gemma, a Human Resources Professional and Associate Member of the Institute of Personal Development, has been delivering HR Consultancy to SMEs. Prior to that, for over a decade, Gemma was a Project and Relationship Manager for a Global Energy Charity.

Did you know?
Gemma loves running and roller skating. Having participated in many running races, yet her dream would be to be taking part in a roller skating race!

 

Grit King

Grit King

PA to Jacinta Scannell

Grit joined the Conference Collective team as a Personal Assistant to Jacinta. One of her key roles is organising Jacinta’s enormous workload — something for which she is ideally placed with more than 17 years’ experience in supporting CEOs, directors and senior management in different industries as well as organising and supporting management and sales conferences. She is highly organised, efficient and can work under pressure — qualities that are greatly welcome at the busy Conference Collective!

Niruupa Gobinath

Niruupa Gobinath

Finance Manager

Niruupa joined the Conference Collective as Finance Manager. She brings with her a wealth of financial experience and is your first point of contact for all financial queries. Niruupa joined us from the childcare sector where she worked as Finance Manager looking after a group of nurseries. She has also lead the accounts’ department in the care home service industry as well as worked in an accountancy firm. Niruupa has a great eye for detail, is highly efficient and responsive to keep our clients and suppliers happy. She is also an Associate Chartered Management Accountant. Niruupa works closely with the Managing Director and the team to ensure the smooth running of the daily tasks and challenges.

Valda Lape

Valda Lape

Apprentice Finance Assistant

Valda joined the Conference Collective as an Apprentice Finance Assistant. She assists our finance manager Niruupa with all financial queries.

Valda is a creative and innovative project management professional with a Master of Economics and 10+ years of experience successfully spearheading projects in Lithuania, the EU and the UK across a variety of organisations. Valda is currently studying Accounting AAT at Richmond Upon Thames college and will gain practical experience while working at the Conference Collective.
